Our journey began in 2022 when our founder, Vick.E found herself creating one of a kind wardrobes whenever she went on vacation or a night out. Since then she has taken her passion for creating timeless silhouettes and established Linda J, a clothing brand featuring highly anticipated rolling collections of effortless fall and summer staples for her, him, and them. neck breaking dresses that are alluring in nature and radiate the nostalgic sensuality of the 90s and early 2000s accompanied by outerwear collections that are designed for seasons to come.
In dedication to one of the most important woman in anyones life, her grandmother.
“My grandmother didn’t want to be called grandma, so she thought of a name that would be unique to only her. We, (my brother and I) call her Gam, while the rest of you know her as Linda J. Gam, in her words, stands for Great American Mother; and she is nothing short of such. She has taught me to be the driven, fierce, resilient and self confident woman that I am today. She embodies everything you’d expect a grandmother and mother to be and more. I love you Gam!”
-Vick.E, Founder and CEO (granddaughter of Linda J)
At Linda J we believe in expressing oneself through fashion and sustainability; that is why we are dedicated to stopping fast fashion practices in their tracks. Due to its high production volume, and short product lifecycles fast fashion has a significant impact on the global warming crisis; particularly green house gas emissions through manufacturing, transportation and dispoal. That’s why we produce our garments on a made to order business model, allowing us to virtually do away with overstock. We also source all of our fabric right here in the USA, and are located in New Jersey.
The overconsumption and rapid turnover of clothing also increase the demand for raw materials, water, and energy further exacerbating environmental concerns; and because we are a one woman show there are fewer industrial and transportation processes, which can lower the overall energy consumption and emissions associated with the production process.
Supporting local artisans can help promote sustainable practices and reduce the environmental impact of mass- produced clothing.
